Hunt
Policies and Information
-
All hunts are guided camp hunts: They
include roomy heated wall-tents, comfortable beds, meals, a
camp shower, an experienced guide, all trespass fees, and trophy
care of your game. Bring your personal gear and sleeping bag.
-
Non-Hunting Companions are welcome on
most trips for 10% of hunt fee per day. Please make arrangements
in advance so that we reserve room for your companions.
-
To reserve a trip simply give us a call
on the phone, send us a letter, or print out our convenient Application and
fax it or mail it to the address on the Contact
Us page.
-
Booking and fee policies: Trips are considered "Booked" when
a 50% non-refundable deposit and a signed
"Application"
have been received and accepted. Final payments are also nonrefundable
and are due 30 days prior to your hunt. Bungalow Outfitters,
LLC. reserves the right to increase our fees without notice.
However, fees will not be increased on any hunt that is already
booked and executed as originally scheduled. We also reserve
the right to refuse service to anyone.
-
Payment Plans: If needed, special payment
plans are available on request. You may pay for your hunt in
small amounts prior to the hunt. Call to set up your plan.
-
Waiver and Release Agreement: You will
be asked to sign a separate "Waiver
and Release Agreement" before your trip can begin.
This is a requirement of our liability insurance carrier. Please
submit with your hunt application so they are on file prior
to your arrival.
-
Meals, Lodging and Travel: Bungalow Outfitters,
LLC. will provide meals, lodging and travel after you have
arrived at our premises and begin your trip until your trip
is over or you leave our premises. Regardless of circumstances,
all other meals, lodging, travel and other associated expenses
are your responsibility.
-
Idaho State Sales Tax: Idaho state law
requires all outfitters to collect 5% sales tax on all Idaho
trips. For your convenience these taxes are included in your
hunt fee.
-
Confirmation and Equipment List will be
sent to you after your deposit has been received which will
outline all the details of your trip.
-
Cancellations: Deposits are not refundable. Non-refundable
deposits for cancellations can be applied to another trip within
one year, subject to processing fees of 15% of the trip price. Cancellations
must be received in writing.
-
Licenses and Tags are available without
a drawing for most trips. We have an outfitters quota for tags.
Your license and tag fees are included in the price of your
hunt and we will purchase them for you. Hunting license and
tag fees are subject to change without notice.
-
Airport Information: Hunters should fly
into Lewiston, Idaho. We will arrange to pick you up and return
you to the airport.
-
Physical Condition: All hunts are physical
and our Mountain Lion hunts are especially trying. Steep mountains,
high altitude and the necessity of wearing snow shoes make
these hunts a real challenge. You should consult your doctor
about your health and conditioning for your trip. Not all hunts
are suitable for everyone, therefore Bungalow Outfitters, LLC
cannot be responsible if you are unable to execute your hunt.
However, we will do everything possible to make your trip enjoyable
and successful regardless of your physical condition.
-
Weather and Nature are always unpredictable
and can have a profound effect on the outcome of your
trip, your comfort, and the conditions in camp-for better or
for worse. Please be advised that we have no control over weather
or nature. No extra days will be given or refunds made due
to lost opportunity, inconveniences or losses to you or your
property caused by, or as a result of, weather or acts of nature.
But, we will do our best to make your trip as enjoyable and
successful as possible whatever the circumstances may be.
-
Wounded or Lost Game: We will make every
effort possible to recover lost or wounded game. Your hunt
will continue even if wounded game is lost. We do not charge
you extra for wounded or lost game.
-
Livestock, Hounds and Pets: You shoot
it-you pay for it policy. The value or cost of any losses or
injuries to livestock, hounds or pets as a result of your shooting
will be paid to Bungalow Outfitters, LLC prior to your departure.
Be sure of your target and there will be no problems.
-
Firearms: Please check your accuracy on
a target and practice before you hunt! Rifles for Big Game
must be .243 or larger. The .243 and 30/30 are perfect for
mountain lion, but a bit small for other Big Game. We normally
don't recommend less than a .270 for bear. Handguns for hunting
should be .41 or .44 Magnum or the more powerful cartridges.
Archery and blackpowder hunts are also available.
